Explore our New Embassy Collections:

Since 2016, the Office of Cultural Heritage at the State Department has been practicing what has been roughly termed “embassy refreshes.” Embassies that had never received any attention in their history were being recognized as places that needed actual curated spaces. FAPE has been collaborating with Cultural Heritage since 2018 to provide art for these posts.

FAPE’s initiative, New Embassy Collections, uses work from our Original Print and Photography Collections, as well as a smaller collection of unique donations from artists and donors. These works enable us to respond quickly to a State Department request and provide a substantial collection.
