The Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies sends our unending congratulations to our Vice President Darren Walker on his appointment as the new President of the National Gallery of Art! Darren has served on the National Gallery’s board since 2019 and will work alongside his fellow trustees and the executive team to advance the Gallery’s mission. Darren has been instrumental in ensuring the success of our partnership with the National Gallery since it started in 2009. Each year, FAPE holds the Sharon Percy Rockefeller Panel Presentation in the East Building Auditorium. It is a wonderful tradition bringing together our members, artists, Board, as well as the local community. It is generously funded by FAPE Board member Agnes Gund.

Darren is a national treasure so it is only fitting that he will lead our national museum. FAPE is so grateful for everything you do. Thank you, Darren!
